Note About Dates

 

1 - The dates in this guide are stated as years CE (Common Era - a more modern term used for AD) and BCE (Before Common Era – which is the equivalent to BC). Therefore Rome was founded in 753 BCE (753 BC), Dacia was conquered in 106 CE (106 AD) and this part of the web page was written in 2002 CE (2002 AD).

 

2 - When dates relative to the “present” or “current” events are mentioned, please be aware that this book was originally written in 1974.
