Honey Cakes from Alexandria
These are thin, sweet cakes appropriate at Adonia at the end of July

1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup honey

Roast sesame seeds and nuts (in 350 degree oven or inpan over low flame) until slightly brown. In a saucepan bring honey to a gentle boil, and let boil until it reaches approx 250 degrees. Add nuts and seeds. Butter a shallow baking tray and spread the mixture on it. Allow to cool, and then cut and serve. (The recipe calls for water and additional sweetener as well but does not specify how they are to be used. Perhaps for adjusting texture and sweetnes.)
