THROUGH THE ROOMS OF THE MUSEUM
The most important and precious pieces from the base of
the archaeological vestiges reserved in the Hunedoara - Deva Museum are
presented in the 20 rooms of the permanent expositions.
The surface of the exposition has about 1400 square metres.
The theme of the museul exhibition represents, in the
context of the Romanian history, by means of chronological principle, on the
basis of concrete archaeological materials as well as through auxilliary
graphical representations, the evolution of human society in the territory of
Hunedoara district, starting with the old stone age (paleolithic) until the
early feudalism period (10th century).
The permanent exhibition starts with the presentation of
some graphical pieces with whose help the visitor is introduced to the
environment of the museum.
A slide of large dimensions shows the image of a part of
the Dacian fortress on Blidaru hill.
Another slide shows us Trajan's Column, a monument which
is symbolically considered to be like a birth certificate of the Romanian
people.
The profound is created in a map of Hunedoara. On this map
the main regions are marked with different graphical signs, regions where
archaeolgical vestiges have been discovered which confirm the continuous
social-economical activity in the Hunedoara territory from the old stone age (paleolithic)
to the 10th century AD.
On the lateral wall, an explanatory test shortly presents
the most important discoveries of that long historical period.
